Here%26#039;s a decent guitar to start with, from Ibanez:

I gave you both the musician%26#039;s friend listing and the guitar center listing. It gets rated fairly high for a guitar in its price range. You%26#039;ll want to add a case; that%26#039;s extra.

That%26#039;s an acoustic electric; you can play it without amplification or if you ever get an amp you can plug it in.

Here%26#039; s a great book to get you started:

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of guitar!
Reply:Here%26#039;s what I would recommend because;

you won%26#039;t have to buy an amplifier, you don%26#039;t need to find an electrical outlet, it%26#039;s good quality at acheap price and you can later buy an electric %26amp; amp if you wish and keep this.

Note that it has all you need for an acoustic guitar, solid top , fair tone , playable neck.
Reply:Hey,

Welcome to the world of guitar playing. Ibanez are good guitars, but I recommend a Squire Deluxe Strat. I played one the other day and I was impressed, Squire has a reputation for making cheap guitars, but this particular model strat exceeded my expectations. It%26#039;s available for $250 and with two finish options. Good luck choosing.
